Casting clamping technology

Strong hold for thin-walled / delicate components

When processing sensitive workpieces, delicate webs or extreme undercuts present a challenge for process-safe clamping. With the casting clamping process Weiguss, it is possible to securely clamp even sensitive components for subsequent mechanical processing. The component is fixed using a low-melting bismuth alloy. During the solidification process, the casting material expands by about 0.6 percent, creating the clamping effect. After machining, the finished workpiece is melted out in hot water (approximately 80 degrees Celsius). Weiguss can be melted down and reused an unlimited number of times.
