The feeding and positioning of workpieces at measuring machines is often a bottleneck in automated quality assurance processes. A smart solution is required to close these automation gaps.

WITTE's innovative shuttle system, Scooter, is an autonomously navigating mobile transport unit that connects one or more setup stations with measuring systems. Millimeter-precise precision during pickup and positioning, along with various assembly units for pickup and handover, ensure a reliable and efficient process.

Thanks to freely programmable driving paths, the Scooter quickly and flexibly adapts to any room geometry. A laser-based 360-degree orientation and safety system ensures safety in the surrounding area.

Operation can be carried out via an external driving computer or through the onboard touchscreen of the driving unit. An optional remote control is available as a backup solution.

The energy-optimized electric drive allows for a driving speed of up to 0.8 m/s. Thanks to the innovative "in-process charging," the Scooters can be efficiently and fully automated with energy—without contact and without interrupting transport for charging breaks. The Scooter generates its own electricity and compressed air for its own needs and additionally supplies the functional unit on the measuring device or rotary table.
