Uncompromisingly sustainable, functional and precise

The climate crisis is taking its toll worldwide and so sustainability is a topic that is increasingly being implemented in companies. WITTE has been practicing future-oriented sustainability for decades. As early as 1987, with the product launch of the first modular fixture construction kit ALUFIX, the company demonstrated its ability to design sustainable and future-proof products. The comprehensive retooling options of ALUFIX and the use of energy-efficient machines and recyclable materials were already ahead of their time back then. WITTE considers its technologies over the entire product life cycle and has paid attention to user-friendliness and reusability right from the start. A “lifetime” warranty covers the entire service life of the respective ALUFIX element for the user and is also proof of quality.

Ecoprofit award and environmental principles

With this in mind, WITTE was awarded the title of “Ökoprofit-Betrieb” in 2010, which largely corresponds to today's DIN EN ISO 14001 certification. WITTE's sustainability concept is based on the fundamental principle of “avoidance before recycling; recycling before disposal”. For example, the use of PVC or polystyrene in packaging is avoided as far as possible and renewable raw materials such as wood, paper and cardboard are used instead. Suppliers and service providers are included in the environmental protection measures.

Environmentally friendly technologies and social commitment

Construction work at company sites is carried out in an environmentally friendly manner. The company's own combined heat and power plant ensures that the electricity requirements for administration and production at the company headquarters in Barskamp are largely covered, and the currently planned construction of a hectare-sized solar park will provide additional support. Intralogistics is mainly carried out using electric vehicles and the company fleet is also being continuously expanded with electric vehicles. WITTE's environmentally-oriented actions are accompanied by a strong social mindset. The company is involved in the regional community in a variety of ways and is one of the most important employers and training companies in the region.
