WITTE is the pioneer of modular clamping systems for industrial measurement applications. From the idea of providing ready-made units from which individual measurement fixtures or control devices can be flexibly and cost-effectively designed, WITTE developed the aluminum modular construction for fixture manufacturing. The basis of the ALUFIX® modular system consists of high-strength aluminum components and various functional elements with the highest precision.
As an internationally leading developer and manufacturer of modular clamping, positioning, and measuring devices, as well as automated feeding systems, WITTE also offers innovative vacuum clamping technology in its product portfolio, allowing for more efficient manufacturing. This includes freezing clamping (ICE-VICE) for very small or geometrically undefined workpieces, and casting clamping technology for prototypes and small series. With WITTE vacuum plates, foils and components with the finest structures can be clamped absolutely flat – excellent for fixing wafers and electronic films as well.
The "sandwich plates" resulting from a research and development project have revolutionized the precise process integration in quality assurance. With the multidirectionally controllable structural plate FixBase MDD, this has been elevated to a new level. Pioneering feeding solutions complete the automation gap between the setup area and measurement machines or cells.
To this day, contract machining of components, primarily for the demanding aerospace industry, remains part of WITTE's service portfolio.
